For some people, the gender of the people they are attracted to makes all the difference, but within the LGBTQ umbrella, bisexual people are the largest single subcategory. Rather than being a short-term stop on the spectrum of sexuality, gender is just another variable. However, myths and prejudice about Bi+ and Pansexual people endure - from both cis-het and other queer people. When they are partnered with a person of the same gender, they are assumed to be a gay or lesbian person. When when partnered with a person on the opposite gender, they are assumed to be hetero or to be passing. This happens both within and outside of their intimate relationships, leading to higher risk of isolation, depression, and lives ruined through addiction or ended through suicide. Come learn about bisexual people in history and why more and more people are coming out, declaring that they could be attracted to many different people (and not at the same time sexually - that is a another myth). Each session will include an interactive program that will lead to deeper discussions and greater connections within your community - not to take a single vote, but to a place where continuing metamorphosis can happen.
